Starting with its 2010 edition, Europe’s most important exhibition centre devoted to the eating out food trade will have a new name: SAPORE - Tasting Experience.
A PROGRAMME FULL OF NEW EVENTS
SAPORE is the exhibition that includes MIA – International Food Show, MSE - Seafood & Processing, DIVINO LOUNGE, FRIGUS, ORO GIALLO and PIANETA BIRRA BEVERAGE & CO., and that expresses its essence in a single word: the expression of taste conceived and presented as an experience that involves all of the senses, the product of constant evolution.



SAPORE is the natural outlet of a 40-year process which, from the first MIA, has produced six events in the various contexts of “eating out.” The exhibitions will continue to be organized independently, but will share a single message targeted to trade visitors. The proposal is all-inclusive, regards all aspects of supply, and is not limited to a single exhibition. The aim is to speak to all distribution channels, explore all trends and innovations regarding food consumption outside the home, and identify new methods of consumption.
In addition, there will be projects specifically designed to enhance the various sectors.

Another important change: the exhibition will open on Sunday and close on Wednesday to facilitate restaurant owners without penalising domestic and international trade.

The fact that the event is authoritative, a fundamental occasion for discussion, is demonstrated by the previous edition’s numbers: 82,977 trade visitors, 675 reporters, and media coverage that approached almost 85 million contacts.


WHY SAPORE?

SAPORE will be a voyage in the world of food&beverage, an exploration of new consumer trends outside the home, of rites and vogues, of tomorrow’s haunts, presenting new ideas and products on the food market and offering the finest food-beverage combinations. The fair will host a competition for the best new product of the year and an area devoted to innovative restaurant formats. Therefore, design will play an important role at the exhibition. In addition, there will be a prestigious international competition devoted to chefs, with extraordinary testimonials.

“Sapore” – taste – is not just a sensation produced by one of the five senses. Above all, it is an experience that becomes a memory permeated with taste, smell, sight, touch, and hearing: an enveloping experience, a tasting experience that emphasises the innovative, international, trendy aspect involved in consuming food and beverages outside the home.
